‘THE SMILE OF MONTSERRAT CABALLÉ’ - A TRIBUTE CONCERT FEATURING COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS FROM THROUGHOUT HER CAREER
The Smile Of Montserrat Tribute Concert will take place on April 12th, 2019 at 8pm at the Liceu in Barcelona.

The event will be broadcast live through Televisió de Catalunya and Catalunya Música and will feature many of Montserrat’s friends and major opera stars singing in her memory, including; Josep Carreras, Jaume Aragall, Joan Pons, Al Bano, Paata Burchuladze and María Gallego.
Plácido Domingo, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Roberto Alagna, and Juan Diego Flórez, plus others will also contribute to the evening through video testimonies. The tribute will be directed by Lluís Pasqual, a close friend of the family, and conducted by Mtro. Guillermo García Calvo.
The Liceu presents the tribute to show the humane face of the soprano and allow her admirers to get to know and remember her better.
The City Council of Barcelona will also posthumously award Montserrat with the Gold Medal of the City on the same day at the show at the Opera House.
